    40K service

Hey i was quoted roughly $550 for a 40k service at honda, does this sound reasonable? The service include only changing engine oil and filter and some air element refresher?

Thanks power of dreams! I just don't get the large price increase between 30k and 40k service... not much difference needs to be done

    yeah actually there is.
at 40k, valve clearance check is done.
It is time consuming, hence the increase in cost over 30k.

Where are you located, I can give you more details on the quote

    can't really help you then.
All I can suggest is to ring every dealership in the area to get the best price.

Power of dreams is right. I was originally quoted ~$550, but managed to get a pricematch with another dealer and ended up with $375 minus air filter and oil change.
You could probably knock even more off the price if you try!

just got mine done last week as well.... its roughly $470 from the back of my mind, around 290 for labour, the rest are parts including oil and air filter, and disposal of oil and stuffs. I am using my own oil.

Only thing I am not too sure is I think they break my valve cover and charge me $69 on replacing it. They say its part of the replacement for valve check thingy. Anyone working at Honda can confirm this? I can post the part number and if its so, I will try to ask them to refund me if they break it.
