dont do anything.. put money towards sussy mods... then move onto b series or k series... but if u want to stay in d series then turbo bang to buck quicker then b series
but sussy mods are a must first..
decent coils
ASR with ek9 sway bar and endlinks
ek9 front sway bar aswell if u want
camber kit if u want ( depends on your wheels )
then move onto engine mods dont put I/H/E on d series pointless unless u wont build the car or go anything futher.
id suggest a wide wide body kit, wider the better
a big spoiler that tells everyone **** OFF because your a hardcore racer
and some chrome rims,
spinners are a +
and if u get the mods listed, you might be able to break the sound barrier

dont forget the 10 tv's inside your car you cant watch and also the fully hectic leather trim all over your interior and 3294803928 guages that do nothing

filtering out all the crap above... what's your budget? thats the big question!
for every part you can go cheap, intermediate, or expensive.
What sort of performance are you after? Although b series engine swap is good and second hand turbo is the best bang for buck option it's not always viable for people that just want to improve a little on what they have.
for that I'd recommend:
Handling:
lower stiffer springs (STAY AWAY FROM KING SPRINGS!!) and an adjustable shock something like like Koni Yellow or KYB AGX are a cheaper option. If you can afford it GET COILOVERS - you WONT regret it!
Add some sway/strut bars. If you can't get them all at once I'd start with rear sway, front strut, front sway, rear strut - in that order.
all the above won't mean too much without some half decent tyres at least.
Performance:
Basic I/H/E will do if you're not a show off. Pod filter on an CAI, extractors and cat back exhaust. You will feel the difference but dont expect to be beating too many cars with that single cam 1.6L.
Appearance:
Grab a front lip, colour match the skirts, mirrors, handles and bumper inserts and chuck on some 16" track-looking rims.
that's my 2c but remember it all comes down to budget - and like Henessaayyy said... buy a house (or an EK4)
