Would 17's be too big for a stock 1.8l b18a1? No work done to it besides exhaust.. I dont wanna be buyin rims to figure out my cars engine is to weak for them and will have to sell them again..
cheers
Yeah but then again... 16's are only 1 inch smaller than 17's and considered fine.. so I dont really get it. And 15's only 2 inch smaller lol.. I've got 14's now so whats the point going 15's if its 1 inch larger
depends on the rims too. the rubber can weigh as much as the metal in some cases. As one gets bigger, the other gets smaller and it all evens out. My 17s with rubber are 1.5kg lighter than my standard Honda alloys with rubber and they are not a particularly special rim.
I would only go 16s however just cos i reckon they look better on an otherwise externally standard car.

An inch less of wheel isn't going to make much difference. It WILL feel sluggish for a while, but its just the extra weight of the wheels. Its not going to slow you down dramatically. I have a stock b18a1 and 17's, I'm speaking from experience here. Go 16's if you want to stay legal.
