    Dc5 Intake help?

Hi fellow honda owners, this maybe a repost, im not too sure if so could some one just give me a link to the original.

but, i would like to know what is the best intake for a dc5 type S, i have plans to get one for my car and im tossing up between injen CAI or a Gruppe-M. Not entirely sure which i should get, hoping someone on this site can give me some info on like performance, durability and price on some intakes for my car (it doesn't have to be the 2 named above). and as for price, im cool with anything.

    Thanks.

dude, use the search feature you'll find heaps of info on intakes for dc5's..

but to sum it up -

GruppeM - expensive, bling, and makes a great sound(personally think its worth every cent). More midrange response and overall power(but not much more for the money)

Injen - Half the price, Can get wet, personally havent heard one and more top end response

hope this helps( if it does throw a rep point my way)

OH my i looked at the installation guide for the gruppe intake and wow so much work, you have to cut that top bit off and then fill it and then spray etc, and apparently you have to lose the front sway bar too

    wrong!!!
u dont have to do that..
when you buy the gruppeM, you get the cowl as well.. u just need to take off your stock cowl and then put that one on!!!

not hard to just install the intake..

    thanks :P

You dont need to loose your front sway bar.
You don't need to cut the rubber trim, it can site over the intake .
