    vtec not working?

    umm i've recently fixed my headers cos the gasket blew up or somthing lol sounded like shit wen it blew up. but now that i've fixed it another problems coming up. wen i hit vtec it seems to struggle, it dosent kick in as hard as back then befor the gasket blew. anyone know the problem? i think its my oil getting to old drove 7000k's since the last service

    could be vtec solenoid, vtec pressure sensor etc or even dizzy giving way my old 4th gen did this i had to replace engine loom dizzy vtec soleniod and ecu
    is urs manual or auto

    mine is manual. i can hear the engine goes louder at 5500 rpm but the rev's just goes up like normal. normally wen i hit vtec it revs up fkn quick but now its like i have no vtec but i can hear it after 5500rpm's. wat is a vtec soloenoid? how do i change it?

    thats what the solenoid looks like. check that the green wire connected to the solenvoid isnt loose or come off

    could be just oil man... if u been tekking it to much since ur las change,, u normally notice nice kick wen u jus put in new oil

    generally if vtec hits but it not as hard generally is oil pressure problems. check that you have enough oil, then check oil pressure.
