does vtec engines need high flow cats? or u can just get straight thru exhausts from the headers? which one will have the most gain?

most gain would be from the headers. cat and catback will have minimal gain for na engines but they all add up i suppose. catback is good for sound also, if you're on a budget i'd suggest to only change your cat if it needs changing...

i wouldnt advise running without a cat, a high flow one will be worth it if you do a full exhaust system (headers etc)

i would advise using the english language correctly.

and for the record, headers is the plural form of header, implying multiple headers. our cars only have the one, hence header.

it would have been good to help him with his query too.

your car would need a cat, if you want a highflow cat, sure go ahead and get one. there is some power to be found but not as much as you would hope.
    no cat = illegal.

Harsh man, thats just harsh HAHAHA-

Ah, as expected most gains will be with a new exhaust inclusive of a straight through pipe.. however as others have mentioned, it is illegal due to the emissions and noise crap.
    sounds really great though hahaha.
IF you do have the money, get a decent exhaust eg,

    -Apexi World Sport 2
    -Greddy SP2
    -Greddy Evo 2
    -Tanabe range
    of course mugen, SMSP etc

If you really want, you can go custom with mandrel bends and pick your own muffler, id rec, the metal cat range for a cat

cant think much anymore hahaha- hope that was a little more helpful
