I'd love to see a new CRX

In order for it to be a genuine CRX - It HAS to be a 2 door liftback, 2 seats only (OK, 2G CRXs had rear seats in japan, but meh), it MUST be light - and I mean LESS than 970kg (w/out options), has to be hardtop, have a potent 1600cc engine (OK, it can have a K24 if it must.....), and drive like your mother's worst nightmare

    why stick with 1.6L?

Ummm... the EF8 and EE8 weigh 986kgs minimum (no optional ABS/sunroof etc)... by your criteria they're not a CRX

My criteria would be: NOT a Del Sol A tip of a hat to the 1G/2G styling and I'd be happy (if it had 180ps minimum). Did I mention that the Del Sol stylists need NOT apply?

lol - a CF 'rex... cool

I just looked up my EE8 brochure - it lists it as 905kgs - sans the goodies the JDM had such as sunroof, abs etc.

Aussie Civics and CRXs are lighter than their JDM equivilent and the low spec (DX) USDM CRX and Civics are even lighter. I know the Aussie ED6 Hatch is only 900 odd kilos (wighed my old one on a weighbridge a long time back - while my EF9 is 1030(!!!). Just as well I don't have ABS to weigh it down as well as everything else. My guess the weight diference for the Civics is in the motors and sunroof of the EF9. Not sure on the Aussie rexs as some came with sunroofs.

Hmmm... titanium and CF CRX anyone?

Cost is one issue - the other that is the fact that in order to be part of Honda Australia's sales/marketing team, you must have both testicles removed while simultaneously reciting the mantra "CRV good, sports hatch bad"
