Accord 8th Gen Vti-L: tips plz

    Hi guys,

I just picked up my Black-on-Black Vti-L after waiting for 3 weeks. Very satisfied with it, too bad the sky had to piss some rain on it as I was driving it back to work. Lol.

Anyway, I will be looking at tinting my car, can someone suggest me a place ? The very nice dealer that sold me the car gave me a number for someone who does backyard tinting for $180, apparently he is from Tint-A-Car. Should I trust these guys ? Or should i just go to Tint-A-Car. Also what would be a good tint ?

In the near future, might be thinking of adding some bodykit, suspension and rims for it. Any suggestions ? Really interested in the Mugen Lip, where can i buy them in Melbourne and for how much ? (I am not looking at buying the genuine Mugen but those that look the same).

    Thanks for the input guys.

pitty it had to piss rain lol.

Just go down to tint-a-car, you'll get your warranty/guarantee on the tint as opposed to a backyard "she'll be right mate".

I don't know alot about 8 gens but carmate in NSW http://www.carmate.com.au/ have fibreglass or plastic lips for your ride.

You can try carmate, but I would not buy from there, There kits need alot of work to make them fit also there mugen kit is fibreglass, low quality replicas, everyone who has bought from them says the same thing,

If I was u, check out this link, replica mugen kit in polyurethane with excellent fitment delivered for like $620au

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess i'll wait a bit before I buy something that expensive on Ebay.

I have another question, as for fuel, will there be a difference if I fill it up with Premium ? Or should I just stick with the normal unleaded ?

I was told as I took delivery that the 2.4 l is tuned to run on both grades of fuel, so using 95 octane will drop consumption, not sure if thats true in the real word, never tried it.Congrats on ur new car, it must look hot!

I've run sets of 98 Octane, 95 and 91. Never touched ethanol despite the fact the car is designed for it. Honestly, 95 or 91. Both yielded minimal differences but the 95 felt more gutsy. Depends on also the batch of fuel / your area. I've found that shell fuels tend to last longer however the car feels powerless whilst caltex fuels make it run a lot smoother as subject to distance per tank. Really a lot of factors but if price isn't an issue, stick to the 95 octane. 91 runs fine.

Mate could you provide another link? That ones expired. $620 sounds like a great deal.
