Bit worried.. is this normal? under rocker cover..

heres the pic.. there seems to be a bit of plate missing or something along those lines, has it been snapped off or is it just how they are. i just did an oil change and there was no metal particals in the oil and the engine runs like its brand new. just saw this today and its made me a little worried.

    thanks guys

It's normal... It's called casting flash...
In the pics you've shown it is perhaps a little more than average,
But nothing to be really concerned about.
That is it'd meet manufacturers specs.

    Point of interest,
In race engines, time is spent removing this sort of rubbish left over from manufacture,
The aim is to improve oil drain / oil return.
You should be happy you've got a Honda, other manufacturer engines are generally worse in this regard.
