    A thicker oil that is too thick for a particular engine will results in higher oil temperature. Also correlates to higher oil pressure but not because the oil is distributing better, but because there is more resistance to flow which is not a good thing on an engine with tight tolerances.

    ive used penrite sin the last two track days (three oil changes)... very happy with it! oil temps are heaps lower... pretty pricey but i recon its worth it. and yer ive heard royal purple is good also. never used it but

    I recommend:

    1) Motul Xccess 8100
    2) Nulon 5W-40
    3) Castrol Edge 5W-40

    If you dont mind the premium go for Motul 300V or Royal Purple.
