Meet in a bright public place. Take a copy of their driver's license. Bring a mate with you.

    also add.

write a letter that states the time, date, driver lic number, name, address and the car vin number.

this will protect you if the buyer gets a fine on the way home.

thats what i did when i sold my prelude a few years back

Go with a friend or two. Get another car to follow. Tell someone where you will be going. Don't let the person drive the car by themselves.

Ask them to bring the money in cash, and have a weapon ready.

wow relax everyone - bring a weapon sheesh... we live in Australia not America

DY - if he's only coming for an inspection you wont need to do anything but be in the car with him when he drives it.
unless he decides to buy your car on the spot. which i doubt bc i gather this person hasn't ascertained your vin number etc over the phone and done these checks.

its good to bring a friend, day or night doesnt matter - try and get it done at sundown if your feeling cheeky.
less light and harder to see any scratches/chips/bumps ahahah
