    SRI Vs WHALES PENIS??

how you going peeps, just wondering is there any difference in performance with the above 2 mentiond?

at the moment im running a SRI on my EG with a b16, but been looking at getting a Whales penis in there

has anyone up graded to one of these, if so what was the outcome?

    sound?
    torque?

oh ok, sorry man my bad. iv got a SRI, but as an alloy pipe, you get me?
its just one size all the way through, where as the whales penis it gets fatter..

sorry im just been picky lol - just the design is a SRI

Anyway....ive heard decent things about the "whale penis" style intake , gives good induction noise. The larger pod surface area and the fact it slightly tapers like a venturi should give it a slight theoretical benefit to a dead straight pipe.

I liked mine in more ways than one

The whole thing with getting fatter then reducing down was to have:
    A) large volume of air available when you mashed the throttle
    B) might increase air velocity as it tapers down

Depending on the diameter of your existing SRI and the quality of the filter on it.... I would not bother wasting money on another intake.

Whale penis = waste of money. A good SRI intake with a good filter will do the job!

HAHAHA love the pic mate, the diameter is the the same diameter as the TB, if not maybe slightly bigger, also running a K&N pod, and in the making of a heat shield with CAI.

what do you qualify as a good SRI?

as the above says in the " A and B" part does sound right in theory.
i thought having a whales penise Along with a good pod, CAI heat shield would be better?

Every motor reacts differently to the length of intake use

i thought having a pipe leading all the way to the front of the bar with a pod (where fog lights are usually in place) would create lag in throttle response? please correct me if im wrong.
thats why iv stayed clear from that option.

Whale penis intake is rubbish... Don't waste your money no matter what brand of crap it is.
A simple pipe of the same length will outpower it everywhere.
If the length is determined on the dyno you'll get best results.
Bang for buck, use a CAI (Injen, AEM, etc)
