Where to start? ... i"m assuming you car is all stock.

Engine wise, the cheapest and easiest is getting an aftermarket short ram/cold air intake (small gain) . It'll only set you back a coupe of hundred.

Also pretty cheap would be an aftermarket exhaust (extractors/hi flow cat converter/cat-back exhaust. U can do all three, but your greatest gains will come from your extractors. About 1200 fitted all up.

Those are the basics. Next step: cams/machined head etc... skys the limit... turbo/supercharged will cost you thousands.

And then theres suspension and brakes... but thats another story.

    Hope this helps

    As above.

Most of the mods wont net u much power tho. Get a SRI best bang for buck makes a cool induction noise + stock exhaust sounds mad i reckon.

IMO Whack in a b18 then ull be happy =D

I agree about getting a new motor. Depends on ur performance needs though.

Wait a minute: What do u mean by dp? u mean my avatar? ... it has ej8 tail lights. The em1 came with crap aftermarket tail lights so i swapped them with my ej8. Thats why ive got an em1 with ej8 tailies.

Do simple mods to increase the torque output of the D16Y8. You can achieve this by adding:

    1) J's Racing Intake or Simota Equivalent
    2) Custom 2.25" Mandrel Bent Exhaust System with 2.25" High Flow Cat
    3) X-Force 4-2-1 Headers
    4) AFC Neo Tune

These mods should make the car more responsive and more drivable day to day.

intake, headers and exhaust, wouldnt spend another cent on it otherwise as it wont do a heck of a lot, unless you got a turbo installed

if you were to spend the money on suspension, tyres and wheels, it would be a much better investment in performance

While we are on the topic of mods, what do u guys recommend for an intake upgrade (b16a2)?

gonna get rid of that terrible factory airbox, once i get on my feet cash wize!!!

I would probably wanna get cold air intake ( as opposed to short ram) to make it more worth my while. If someone can gimme product/prices (any ideas!) would be appreciated.

I havent searched any threads yet, so if u have any links, please point me in the right direction.
