They're about $1000AUD+ each shipped (not including rails), for the price I'd just get a pair of used Recaros.

Used recaro's go for $1200-$1500 a pair with rails.

    These will cost you:
    $2160 a pair shipped
$500-ish for rails (local, if not then + shipping)
10% GST (since it's over $1000AUD including shipping)
    Import/customs duties and fees.

So expect to pay around $3000 all up.

Drive side only you're still paying $1080 + $250-ish for rails + 10% GST + import duties and fees.

So for the price of one of these, you'd be able to get a pair of used recaros with rails.

    Please don't listen to geeang.

Make your mind up about the seats, all comes down to budget and comfort.

If you like the Brides go for them, everyone I have spoken to who has them loves them to bits and they compared them over recaro's (Silvia guys mind you)

Or maybe I'm putting things into perspective to save the guy $1500 and the hassles of importing? Ever think about that?

I've had real experience with both (which is rare on this site) and, in my opinion, the differences aren't worth an extra $1500+ and a whole lot of hassle/waiting/paperwork.

Of course you're trying to save the OP a few bucks but if he wants the product enough he'll pay for it with patience and his wallet.

He could buy some second hand ones or ones that are already in the country though.

    Indeed, in your opinion.

In most opinions I have heard the extra $ is worth it for what you get.

OP, why not ask Zco? I'm sure he's experienced both.

In the long run it comes down to dollars, cents and what you prefer (looks+feel)

    Good Luck.
