    EACV control the revs?

hi everyone~ i just want to know is the EACV control the revs higher (1500rpm) when the engine is dead cold? and keep the idle to 900RPM when the engine warm?

because normally my D15B4 is rev up to 1500rpm when it dead cold, and it idle at 900rpm when it warm. but recently it is 300-500rpm when it dead cold and 900rpm when it warm.

it also losing revs when i turn on headlights, even the deforst the rear window.

what would it be? will it be the bad EACV??? cheez

that sounds like the IACV, when it gets dirty after some time, usualy on older models this can happen.

check this thread on how to clean it!

give your IACV a clean and that will answer your question as to weather it does or not, the IACV should be cleaned regularly anyway

the throttle body blade is the flap that opens and closes allowing air to pass through, refer to this thread on how to clean

you have to take off the airbox induction pipe, and then you will see it inside the throttle body which is attached to the intake manifold, follow the steps in that thread and you will find it.
