    EG rails/DA9 rails

Im new to EG, so if there is a interchangable parts thread i should read, please send it my way.

    but for now

Will Da9 integra rails fit into an eg?, if not is there a DIY to change the seats or what seats (front and rears) bolt directly into an eg.

    thanks guys

    Seat Fit

    Here are some seat dimensions:

EK & EG Civics (Hatch & Sedan): 430mm
    DA9 Integra - 405mm
    ED6 Civic - 330mm
    ED3 Sedan - 445mm
    Concerto - 445mm
    CB7 Accord - 450mm
    BA4 Prelude - 425mm

This is the width between the mounting points on the rails. So to answer you're question, it would not be a direct swap. You would need to do some cutting and welding. Looks like the Prelude is a closer fit.

Don't know. Its possible but I've not measured any DC2s. someone with more experience with that model might give you a definitive answer.

OK, here is how it works out.

EG is compatible with DC but you must use the DC seat rails and bolt the whole seat/rail in.

As for the back it depends on your car.

Civic Hatch fits ITR rear uprights and lower seat but the DB8R lower fits better
Civic Sedan only fits DB8R upper and lower

Now by that ordinary DB and DC seats are the same as the type R versions just different materials.

    As mentioned above.
The DC2 front seats will fit an EG.

DA9 and DC2 are a different car... I havent tried fitting EG seats to DA9 so i wouldnt know about that one.

To further add on to that, if you use DC2/DC2R rear seat on your EG, there'll be a gap between the uprights and lower seat.

    front is basically bolt on.
Rep me if you think it is mechanically sound

You will only get that gap if you use the DC / DC2R lower seat. If you use DB / DB8R lower seat you won't get the gap.

DB8R rears in my sedan. Before anyone else asks where I got them I am in New Zealand so these bits are a little more common. Still waited 2 years to find them tho.
