i had the same problem in my EM1. Originally it was really hard to lock the door from the inside and then it got to the stage where I couldnt unlock the door from the inside or outside so I had to climb in through the passengers everytime (I perfected climbing into the passengers recaro then climbing out over the centre console and into the drivers seat quickly lol). I had to get a new locking mechanism which was around $300 from Honda

its the lock tab that is broken, it look like if i were to change it i would have to get the whole bit including bracket, handle, lock tab...
all i wanna know is if i just need the lock tab or the whole bracket?

Im pretty sure you would only need the lock bracket. I had the same problem, the lock broke off from the wire that pulls the lock. you can improvise and use something else to fix it
