    mugen body for DC5S

    Hey guys,

ive been looking around for a mugen bodykit for my DC5S and i found a place called extreme bodykits at warwick farm which does it for 1.8k fibreglass includes fitting and painting and told me there wont be any gaps at all...but wen i looked at the front bumper it has a few cracks but they said they can fix that easy no problems but my car is at Cabramatta smash repairs and i showed them the mugen bumper that i was gunna put on and they said it was shitt...wat do you guys recon?? has anyone done their kit from that place or does anyone know a better place to do the kit?? is the price reasonable?

    Cheers

Fiberglass kits are a hit and miss kinda thing.

You can get some that are almost as good as factory fitment... and some that just look shocking, with finger sized gaps, waves in the fiber glass... and just not worth the money.

You'll also find that more smash repair places don't like dealing with fiberglass kits... for the above reasons. Because at the end of the day, they'll probably have to spend more time "fixing" the kit then its really worth.

What does the 1.8k include? Front bar, side skirts rear lip?

Personally, unless you can find a plastic kit, i wouldn't bother with it.

yea it includes fron side and rear plus paint and fit.. sounds cheap but he was convincing and promised me no gaps and fixing kit is easy if cracked =S LOL but the guy fixing my car at the smash repairs said the same as u they would spend too much money paying labour money to try fix and fit the bumper onto my car and dint really like the bumper he also told me he was fixing a car wif fibreglass and he sent the part to a marine which took 5 weeks to fix
do you know where to get plastic or genuine kits??

Not sure where to get a genuine kit from (Never looked)... but they are quiet expensive.

But at the end of the day, its up to you what you want to do.

As i said in my original post... its very much so a fit and miss when it comes to fiber glass body kits.

cant beat genuine fitment. the same mugen bumper as above would cost around the same/more to what your paying for your full kit+paint+fit.

That is the way to go, keep it shock or real deal.
No replica, once you go for it, you will 99% regret!!
I learn it from the hard way with my GSR, after that, I swear no more bloody copy body kit!!
    It is my advise!
