Manual Spoon Mirrors Installation on EK

    Hi all,

Just got myself a set of rep Spoon style side mirrors for my EK and after a quick DIY paint job I realise the following issues when trying to install them on my car:
    1. The rep mirrors didn't come with a regulator. Is this normal? I looked at the stock regulator and couldn't figure out a way to detach it in order to put it into the Spoon mirrors.
    2. Are the mirrors meant to be manually adjusted, as in, to be adjusted from outside the car without the regulator?
    3. The stock screws that attaches my mriror to the chasis wouldn't fit into the Spoon mirrors - Any idea on what sizes the screws are?
Thanks all. I'll post some pictures up on the stock and Spoon mirrors tonight for some comparisons.

I suppose when you say regulator - it's the knob to adjust the mirror. It's normal that it doesn't come with the regulator. The one I bought before also needed to stick the mirror onto the housing. I recommend you making the necessary adjustment on the housing before sticking the mirror as you might not stick the mirror perfectly in the middle.

So yeah you need to adjust it manually from the outside.

Hmm ok thanks for the confirmation guys. Guess I'll have to live without the knob/regulator/stick then.

There are definitely threads in the current holes on the Spoon mirror. Just that the standard screws are too big for it. It'll just get some 2mm screws later.

    Ta.
