    central locking

hey guys just need some help with central locking! central locking died on me couple of months ago. So i thought that my battery is running out in my remote, i got the battery replaced but the car still wouldnt lock or unlock when i pressed the button sometimes it takes ages as well for the car alarm immobilizer to trigger off..

any ideas what the problem is?

yeah, check wires and fuses if they're lose or have bad contact.
i'd use the key to open the doors and see if the actuators get triggered.
If i still can't figure it out.. then i'd get my tester and check if there's current being sent out.

always good to check the easiest first

is it a genuine central locking or non-gen?? test the power to the master actuator plug, is its getting power there at the wires when unlocking and locking with the remote ( use a test light), then u know the prob is with the actuator

yeah, all the actuators just happen to die all at the same time....

I haven't worked out why yet but this is true (and really annoying). It's happened to me twice over the years. Even with different aftermarket actuators in each door
