Do I have a 98 B18C or 96 B18C? shop might have ripped me off...

I got an engine swap done on my Civic 2 months ago by a shop in NSW, but I'm having doubts about if I got ripped off. I paid $7000 for the entire conversion.

    The shop said it was 1998 B18C engine off a Honda Integra Type-R. I'm having second thoughts on if it's really a 1998 B18C-r, or if it's a 1996 B18C-r or even a 1996 B18C from the Integra SiR.

The valve cover is red and it's stamped with P73, so that means it's a Type-R engine. However, the ECU being used is a P72 OBD1, so that means the engine should be a 1996 B18C right?
The strange thing is that VTEC crosses over at 4500 rpm, and I read that is a characteristic of the JDM Integra SiR...

This is why I'm unsure whether if I really got the 1998 B18C-r, or if I was ripped off and got a 1996 B18C-r..

It makes really good power and I'm happy with how it drives, but just wanted to get this cleared up in my mind.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Hope these are the right pictures. if there's another angle you need, please let me know.

Is it possible to tell whether it is a 96 spec or 98 spec B18C Type-R?

    i'm assuming it's an eg, so obd1
looks like they might be using the sir ecu with the type r motor if your crossover is indeed 4500rpm
98spec dc2r's were obd2a afaik so they couldn't use the original p73 ecu without a harness
anyone want to confirm whether 96spec dc2r's used obd1 or obd2a?

looking at the second last photo, on the head there appears to be a 98 so the head's at least a 98 afaik
edit; nevermind tiny photo so i'm wrong

    96 spec ITRs were obd1.
    i have a p72 ecu so that's why i thought i got a 96 spec B18C instead of the 98 spec which i was told i had.

Take a pic off close up of the stamped dials circled in red. 90LAN can read them tell you what year it is.
