    problem with my Zeal Coilovers

    found a set of zeals in my mates garage few weeks ago..for eg hatch
    the problem is that i cant adjust the ride height, it wont budge?

    any suggestions what to do would help?

    my friend has lost the spanners for it
    and should i put the coilovers on first and then use the punchset n hammer?

    Just get any regular C-spanners. You can buy them at auto parts shops. Or borrow someone elses spanners.

    tried it wen off the car wouldnt budge at all..like its stuck or something was thinkin of using WD40 but scared it might wreck them? :S lol

    not all spanners are created equal aaron unfortunately.

    Lan is on the ball. Get the coils on the car, then use a hammer and screwdriver to loosen and tighten them up.

    Alot of the time, they are really tight cos they were tightened using C-spanners, but because u dont have them, u dont have the same amount of torque and leverege required to undo them...

    a good punch not a screw driver it will damage it more

    spray inox or WD40 on the perches, let it sit for a while and then use lans technique. might take a while but you will get it loose!

    yeah lube it up a bit

    i change my height maybe two mths ago, and i decided to adjust it a bit again

    was hard as rock, so yeah defly lube it, set of good tools
    and you should be on your way

    wack on some eucalyptus oil on the threads once its all done, i taped my last set up with some electrical/duct tape to keep dirt and grime out too to avoid/limit freezing up. you could also put some anti freeze grease between the two locking plates/screws before finally setting and taping up.

    alot easier
