    JHM Stands for Manufacturer code (Fixed code)
    HONDA MOTOR CO. , LTD. JAPAN

    BA8 is for Body type
    variations can be
    BB1..........Prelude 2.2l DOHC VTEC
    BB2..........Prelude 2.3l DOHC
    BA8..........Prelude 2.2l SOHC

    1 is for number of door and transmission type
    variations can be
    1..............2 door 5 speed manual transmission
    2..............2 door 4 speed automatic transmission

    4 is the grade
    variations are
    4.............(2.2 l) S, Si
    5.............(2.3l) Si
    7.............(2.2 l VTEC) VTi-R
    9.............(2.2 l VTEC) Si-VTEC

    0 is fixed code

    0C0 is model year and factory code where C stands for factory code which is SAITAMA plant in japan and the varaitions for the 0 before and after are
    00.......1992
    01.......1993,1994(BB1)
    02.......1994, 1995( BB1)
    03.......1995

    and the rest 00001 is the consecutive unit number.

    but i went thru mechanical checks n engine is in sweet condition.. so dats d main thing... igues

    man.. i wished i had a digital camera right now to shut you up haha..
    i guess the way to check if the ks are genuwine is to look at your service log book and look where it has been serviced.. also the dates then ring then the place up to see if they have actually serviced it.. they usually have the record somwhere...

    well i think what happened was the guy probly would of had high Ks on the old dials so he changed them.. and maybe he couldnt get the origianl vtir ones or too expensive so he got si ones, if you saw another one with the same dials then its another dodgy basterd selling it.. with si dials... i guess atleast your lucky the engine and shit cheaked out ok.. if it was me i would go and **** him up, dodgy dickhead.
