    s2000 - seasonal price variations?

    hey guys,

i dont think this has been covered before, i'll keep it short.

thinking of buying an s2k, but im wondering whether there's any variation in prices between summer and winter (would they be lower in autumn/winter?)

common sense tells me that since its a convertible, people might not be looking to sell as summer approaches, and that maybe prices fall quicker in the summer --> winter period rather than the winter --> summer?

all this is given that cars depreciate with time and kms anyway, would i be better off trying to grab one now (before it gets hot ), or am i better waiting till mid next yr when its colder and people might be more inclined to get rid of them, and other people would be less likely to buy? (more supply, less demand..?)

grand prix white/red interior is so hard to find, F***!

    thanks!!!

GPW is hard to find full stop =p a very nice colour i must say. I'd take it regardless of interior colour

I though that as well when i was buying my s2k but you have to remember one thing.

The price wont change too far from winter to summer but a Good Condition S2000 is priceless.

Get it while it is on the market.

White s2000's are always popular no matter the season, so not only will it be a hard find, the price wont exactly drop a whole lot. Find the best example for your budget or wait for a white one to come up.

i know they're rare, and i know s2ks are ageing so finding one in the condition i want will be hard at the price i want.

im aiming to spend 27-29k, which can possibly be pushed up to 30k if the car is right (and i get enough from the sale of the euro). theres a white one up near brisbane which has been retrimmed in red going for 29k with 110,000km. does anyone know this car? it has red type-r badges etc. 1999/2000, i cant remember.

the scariest thing about s2000s is people doing cluster swaps. i know you can tell the real age from the interior etc, but its still pretty daunting.

reckon im dreaming for that sort of a budget?

Forgot about him - but I haven't actually seen him around.
    He's on BoostCruising too.

The repaired write off is a different car. It has painted front bumper vents and the bodywork is 2 different white colours from the doors forward.
