EG civic interior fan clean out

Do you also have a buzzing noise when your interior fan is switched on and gets louder with fan speed?

Just a quick DIY for removing foreign matter from your fan

    Tools required-
    Light
    8mm 1/4" socket
    1/4" ratchet and small extension

    Step one-
the fan is located under the dash on your glove box side, held on by 3 8mm screws

simply unplug the 2Pin connector at the bottom on the blower located towards the front and undo the 3 screws

once out, no need to clean down with special agents, simply blow or dust out all leaves and junk

good idea with the blower out to check inside the blower housing for leavings or dead animals.

    refit and test
this has happen to me twice, civics till 2000 do not list a cabin filter and is a pain when parked under a jacaranda tree mojority.

    Heres another tip directly related:

You may wonder how the leaves got there, and how to reduce or stop it! .

if you take off your wipers, and the black plastic part youll see the big hole where the air comes into the car from ont he passenger side, around the corners and general space its probably clogged up with dirt over the last 15 years so best to clean that out so future leaves and more importantly water can escape more easily!

nice tip yo! the "gateway to blower" as labeled does need to be checked if your a/c is smelly or if leaves keep soiling your blower.
