Taking Delivery of Type S Tomorrow Night - Questions

    Hi All,

I'm taking delivery of a Integra Type S from the dealers (back to Honda's again after a WRX and S15 and Clio and Sportivo) tomorrow. Got quite a good deal overall fairly happy with it all.

    Firstly

Does anyone know where the damn engine number on the block is?! I can't seem to find it,

In the interests of ensuring its a Type S and not a Luxury Dress Up, my research here shows the following:

    1. Engine = Should be be K20Z1________
    2. Types S badging, bodykit
    3. Leather Interior, high RPM gagues with a "Type S" logo under speedo
    4. Front Strut Brace
    5. Front Seats should be "bucket" seats

Yes and of course it should rev to 8000 RPM with high cam coming on 5800-6000rpm I know.

Anything else to look out for on the car (i've checked the log books and all dont worry) or the engine bay?

    Thanks you.

Gearbox- Should be a 6 speed.

Anyway one drive, and you will know. I've never come across anyone, who's been conned into buying a base.

plus if the dealers listed it as a type S and you bought it, im sure u can sue them.

yep 6 speed n gauges would be a good start =D

Thanks guys I didn't know integra luxury only came with a 5 speed. One extra thing I'll check.

Good suggestion about calling Honda with the vin thanks for that too.

K20s look all the same... B/h/d series engines were so much easier to tell apart....
