    Break Pads for Ek

Hey Guys, I need new break pads and honda brisbane is out of stock so I thought it be a good opportunity to upgrade them to something a little better. Any one have some suggestions on what I could put in. Its for an EJ8 something decent would be good as later on I hope to upgrade to a B18c2 fingers crossed.

PS. Should my break pads have been done on my last major service (80,000) which was only done 12,000 ago.

    Cant go wrong with OEM.
You can push your Ford or your Holden but I'll drive my Honda.

Aftermarket is better than OEM for brake pads.

Andy@AKMotorworks sells his own `K2 pads`,I haven`t tried them but I reckon they will be tops!

Not sure if they dust much, might have to email him to find out.

I want to hear what others recommend as I am wanting to buy soon too.

For a normal driven daily ya cant go wrong with OEM but many aftermarket pads out perform OEM if ya wanting something better.

Though, finding aftermarket pads for mine was one hell of a running around. Make sure you mention weather its a Cxi, Gli, Type R or what not some retards like to get these mixed up.

dont make the mistake of buying super pads and think you can just use them on the street.

most of them do not heat up for awhile. and some mornings you will forget, then pump the brakes, and your car will go straight through that intersection~~

ferodo makes good pads, bang for buck.

You might even need to take the pad off and scan it,then fax it to them but traders on here should be able to send you the right ones, without the mucking around.

What pads did you get Timmy, how were they?

I have OEM at the rear and trust pads on the front, the trust ones are quite good although it`s hard to tell....they do dust a bit though.
