6000K is probably better imo, better visibility and easier on your eyes as well. Seeing everything blue loses it's excitement after a while.

yea, problem is though HID's are not halogens, so not sure how it'd work

anyone here with a Std CL9 and a HID kit, where did you mount the ballasts?
there is hardly any room in the engine bay for them?

55W draw is still 55W draw - your wiring is designed to allow for 55 watts without melting, so you won't cook ur wires

55W FTW... Make sure you point them DOWN~
N3M3SiS mount the ballasts under the plastic housing...
battery side is easy, but the water bottle side you'll need to undo the hi-beam wires to fit the ballasts.

no worries, I'll give that a shot
Cheers

i mounted mine under the wheel arc....just need to tak out some of the clips screw (dont know what there called) but they hold the plastic that goes around the wheel arc....pull that out and there are some holes that you can mount the bracket and the ballast (did mine using cable ties) then you just replace the plastic cover lik normally. there are some holes on the side walls near the head lights which allows you to runn the cables into the wheel arc =]

I took off my front bar and if you look on the corner, there are slots... These slots fit the Ballasts perfectly. In our manual, there is 35 and 55w options, but i stuck with 8000K 35 w ballasts and its been great for me for like 3 years now.
