    P73-003 ECU compatibility

    Hello,

I have just been given a P73-003 ecu which i am lead to believe came from a 96-97 JDM DC2R.
Would it be at all beneficial to run this with a 2000 AUDM DC2R ? I am abit hesitant to jump as a better match would be the 37820-p73-023 ECU - from a 00-01 JDM DC2R.
I am uncertain as to the differences with the motors - from 96 - 00 (JDM) esp if the cams / cyl head porting were to be different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    J.

there may only be 2 or so Kw advantage using a JDM ECU, however you will have a 180KM speed restriction and no immobiliser

    Arghh.. NOO..

Thanks for the heads up ECU-MAN. I could do without the immobiliser - but i feel that i will be needing 180 (or close to) on track.

why don't you go aftermarket if you want a few more kw's.

hmmm. true, it was on re001/re01r/re01
using semis will give higher corner exit speed @ start of straight and higher top speed at the end of it..
