I have also seen a few Japanese Import models. They are the SI models with the VTEC engine. In what difference are they to the VTI-R? Would it be risky to buy one? ie in terms of market value etc
market rate for a 94-95 aus spec vtir would be around 14-16grand depending on condition and kms .. ill either wait for one or bargain it below 14 if i were u tho..
jap imports are defintely lower on market value and resell value are not as gd.. as dey are sold dirt cheap in jap... but u neva noe wats dat car been thru ,so i personally wun get a import, however si vtec are preti much d vtir with h22 engine.. do a search for diffs..
the jdm si vtec preludes are the same as the aussie specs..just more creature comforts and extra bits and peieces..same engine specs..for an aus spec dont pay more than 16k for one...and jdm about no more than 13k...
Thanks guys. It's not easy to find a good condition Aus Spec one for $14000. I inpsected one about 2 months ago, it had over 200,000 kms on the clock & looked liked the owner didn't even care to maintain it!
Guess I might have to start looking at the jap spec ones. haven't test driven one yet but will be looking out.
WPN.22R (elle) turbocharged his 4th gen Vtir, he has been unable to do a quarter mile run yet due to continuous engine problems.
Sheecomb turbocharged his 4th Gen Si, it seems to be running good, no results yet.
And Prelude_Psi, and flipmods turbocharged their 3rd gens, prelude_Psi ran low 14's on the quarter, thats only because he wasnt experienced, it would be pritty easy to get his car into the 13's if u knew how to run.
