    Red face Hemi from NY(^-^)

Hey there Oz! Hemi here from NY. I'm originally a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) fan but got pulled into the Honda world by friends. Unfortunately, the Honda scene out here is getting ridiculously stupid and immature here in NY due an increasing number of thieves and fake wannabes who buy a honda now-a-days for attention.

Anyways, I once owned an original stock 94' DB8, raced it, got bored; upgraded the top to bottom end, exhaust and exterior looks; then got bored again and to get it tuned was going to take a while so I sold it in March 2009. Then I bought an original 95' DC and again wanted to do something different but faster. So in April 09', I sold my gsr motor and tranny along with other parts. We switched the gsr suspension with itr suspension along with some other upgrades, and finally did a J-swap.

It's still under construction. A shop and I are currently working on it to get it done. Others have been accomplishing this goal since 2005 and yet it is still rare because the more money you have, the faster it will get done by the right person who has done it before. However, in my case, I work a full time job that pays enough to get me through my bills and full time college making it hard for me to have time and money to put into it.

Slowly but surely though, it will get done. I have always worked hard to be different and put a lot of work into my cars to prove it. I hope to feel welcomed to yet another Honda forum and learn even more from another side of the Honda scene. I also look forward to help out to the best of my knowledge.

I will post more pics but here are some to give you an idea:

This was my first honda: 94' DB8

This was the set up we did before selling it. It's still the original B18C1. I just changed the valve cover to an Si b/c the GSR valve cover was messed up.

This is not my first GSR but instead my first DC2

    95' DC2 Before:

This is how it sits now:

Thanks for the first welcome! I wish I was in Australia. I heard the import scene is bananas (awesome) over there! My friend managed to bring me two import mags and I was impressed. Wow I didn't know parts were expensive in Australia. Makes me think twice about living here. BTW, Nice Teg in your avatar, do my eyes deceive me or is that a 94-97?

Thank you. And sorry about that. It was almost 1 a.m and I was rushing thru it to sleep for work at 6 am (different time zone hehe) but I will keep that in mind.

I will share as much as I can about the J series and when I get a chance, I'll even throw in a build thread whenever possible being that my time is always limited by college and work. I have pics that have to be organized to demonstrate the process. Thanks so much for your interest!

    Welcome
Hey we meet again! Yeah, you're right, we hate that it's on the left hand side.

Most import fans down here in NY would kill (not literally) to have a right hand drive car but only deep pockets can accomplish that here.

    Thanks for another welcome!
