DIY - Fix Rims + Paint Em.

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

so this morning i picked up a set of integra blades. i got geed on painting them matte black + fixing the little gutter scratches on them. so at 3pm i got started.. and this is what ive done so far..........

    shit you may need
    -flat head screwdriver
    -sandpaper wet/dry
    -80 grit
    -120 grit
    -180 grit
    -400 grit
    -Primer
    -Paint color of ur choice
    -Newspaper/Marsking tape
    -carbi cleaner

REMOVE THE WHEEL WEIGHTS FIRST! (if any...)

Ok first i cleaned all the wheels with carbi cleaner....

then got the 80 grit to sand down the larger scratches

then the 120 grit over the scratches

then a 180 grit over the entire wheel....

    THIS TOOOK AGESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    then i laid some newspapers

let out air on the tyres

put newspaper around it, taped up riped parts with marsking tape

    sprayed the shit with primer

finished primin them all ,,, then it got tooo dark! so ill spray the black on 2moz when der super dry!

ok so i forgot to remove the weights..

"The wheel weights are put on AFTER the tire is inflated while it is on a spin balancing machine. While there is a "special tool" for just this purpose (removing and installing the weights) they can be worked off with careful prying with a flat bladed screw driver. To reinstall them, make sure the "U" shaped clip that goes over the tire rim is not opened up, place the weight in the desired location, and then TAP it on over the rim of the wheel with a small hammer, or hammer and a small flat bladed screw driver placed where the weight meets the clip. (The "special" installation tool is essentially just a small hammer with a narrow head.)"

ok got the weights off... resanded those parts with 80 grit....wiped it down with a wet cloth. dryed it...then reprimered it...

luckly one of my rims didnt have weights on it..
so i sanded that with 400 grit
then wiped it down with a wet cloth,,,
    then dryed it
then sprayed the matt black on!

i took the pic after like 1 or 2 coats

    just finished them all

Err... I noticed that the wheel rim weights are still on.

Then the next time you change tyres, they'll have to rebalance the wheels and pry off the weights and place new ones elsewhere on the rim. Then you'll have a couple of shiny spots where the old weights used to be.

Matt black? why? Blades look sweet all polished up, white would be good too. Black will just make them look alot smaller and shitter IMO anyway
