    noise from gearbox?

    as tittle says.
    recently ive been hearing a noise from gearbox (i think) sounds like a rattling noise. and each time i step the clutch down noise goes away. then release the clutch i hear it again? what can the problem be? LOL

    I have this in my CRX SiR.

    90% sure it's a loose bearing in the GBox. Bit of a pain to fix just because they're a pain to pull out, but I don't think it's a huge issue.

    You might also hear it rattling around a bit when you take off slowly in first gear?

    yeah that happens wen i take off in 1st.
    so you saying it could be a loose bearing in the gearbox?

    input shaft bearing. or the other bearings in ur box is worn.

    I'm no genius on GBox's man, might have to ask a tranny mech or somebody smarter on the forums here.
