    budget help :)

i just recently got a 94 teg gsi. its already got the headunit which is a soundstorm smp3-100r.

im looking to spend $500 on a sound system. 2 front speakers, 1 sub and 1 amp. will this headunit be fine with all of that?

Im not looking at a great sound system, just a decent one, $500 is only available next week, so should i just buy 2 fronts and amp then wait till i get more money for sub?

look at www.gumtree.com or ebay from some good 2nd hand stuff. imo just run the fronts off the deck and get a monoblock and sub package for cheap

If u buy that you will only have enough to get decent speakers up front

save up some more dosh.. seriously

sounds like you're gonna need to pay for installation and thats most of your budget already.. (even for a basic installation), let alone have anything left over for anything of at least DECENT quality.

i suggest saving up, do your system up in stages if need be & 'do it once, do it right'.. instead of buying rubbish, replacing them & spending more in the long run.

if i wanted a low-budget system with a decent level of quality id probably save up roughly $1500-2000+. atm your $500 is enough to cover for wiring, a sub box & basic installation
