    Need help from a Dc5 Guru =]

Hey guys and girls, I have a question about putting a OEM dc5 Type R wing on a dc5 Type S. I have noticed some cool cats in this forum that has both type s duck lip as well as the type R wing on. I was wondering how they do so, as the type S duck lip is covering all necessary space on the boot lid needed for the type R wing.

Those who have both are not using the OEM DC5S Ducklip spoiler. It is the Acura RSX-S A-Spec Ducklip Spoiler. This spoiler is not as wide as the DC5S thus it will allow you to have both.

    So you have three options:
1.) Source an A-Spec ducklip spoiler from the US, or
2.) Take off the OEM DC5S spoiler to put on the DC5R spoiler, and get the holes left behind welded, or
3.) Cut the current spoiler so that its shorter.

What DC5 raven said, need to get the A spec rear duck spoiler to fit the DC5R rear wing as the A spec rear duck spoiler is smaller than the AUDM ones.

Yeah and they are rare as, hen's teeth.

It only comes in a package, with the Aspec high wing. Only Acura sell them. And they will not ship it to Australia, or separate the two.

You might get lucky with a second hand mini-lip spoiler, which comes around once in a blue moon.

Oh no kidding. Cheers for that guys. I think i will probably do it the formal way in taking the type S duck lip off and getting the boot lid resprayed. But if i do so im sure i will have to get my badges removed ? am i correct?

I am just about to purchase the a spec wing package from the US for my DC5S.
From researching, it looks like the a spec wing is the same as the type r wing, and the mini decklid fits perfectly in the same spot as the current decklid on the stock DC5S.

Can anyone confirm that this is correct? I have tried searching through ozhonda and clubitr but couldn't find any users/pics with the a spec wing package (tall wing and mini decklid) installed on a DC5S.
