    1985 prelude overheatig problem

    hi guys

    i have a 85 prelude and it is overheating on me, i have changed the waterpump, thermostat, and temp transistor, and it still overheats when driving it for more than 20 mins, the head gasket is fine too. can anyone help with his problem

    the radiator isnt blocked its fine, the fans are working fine, the tacho says its overheating but the car is not boiling over, my mate seems to think its some regulator or something thats behind the tacho? could it be this? even thou the sensor is working perfect could it stil somehow be the tacho showing the wrong temp?

    Its not a prelude but check everything that has been posted and see if it applies to your situation

    It could be the coolant temp sensor, most likely thats the problem if the car isn't actually overheating
