    b18cr dizzy

    hi so my 98 spec b18cr distributor is making loud rattling noises so im guessing is on its way out. when you put your ear to the dizzy you can hear the bearing noise inside..i am planning on replacing with king distributor from usa a lot cheaper and better , i hear from this forum than oem..b4 i order i am right by saying i have ob2a arent i ? ..thanks

    yes you should mention to them you have an OBDIIa engine

    easiest way is to look at the dizzy it will have a part number.
    Match it to Dizzy King's unit.

    should be one of these
    TD81U, TD84U, TD86U, TD87U. It will be stamped on the dizzy

    Not many aftermarket options are "better" than OEM Honda, but most are certainly cheaper.

    bumping old thread

    guys, i too have noisy dizzy and sounds like lightning crackling+metal on metal knock, when it started i was told its the dizzy bearing, noise get worse over time then i changed to new non oem dizzy. noise still there but not as loud, i was told it could be worn dizzy slot on camshaft or loose timing belt?

    any thought?
