2nd hand stock muffler making tingy sound

    hi guys,

I got this second hand stock muffler, which rattled when i shook it, i was told that this would stop once the car was driven for a while and started carbon'ing or something.

Its been probably driven about a month and a bit and its still making this tingy sound when accelerated, as if the matter has not been flushed out yet.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

tingy? maybe raspy? Stock muffler on what b pipe? if its an after market b pipe it probably needs another resonator.

its rust , soot and loose glass matting / sound deadening that is displacing under exhaust low making that noise. Get over it or chuck the muffler out.

Whoever sold it to you lied. The muffler is screwed which is probably why they sold it.
