How to tell which K-Series engine came from which car?

Hey, ive got a noobie question. How do you tell which K-series came from which car? Is there meant to be a number after K20A? and what are the different types? thanks in advance

K20Z1 is from a DC5S
K20A3 is from a base model DC5

theres a couple more from ep3r and fd civc, but i'm not sure wat their engine numbers are

ep3/jdm dc5r just has k20a no numbber after it

All JDM Type-R K20As are just K20A no number after that.
