any install tips?

hey, ive just purchased my first amp, a Jaycar Response 4x50 and i am planning on running my Response 6.5" Kevlar splits and Xplod 6x9's. i am going to try and install it into my civic myself, although havnt done this before.

Just wondering if any one has any tips on installing an amp, what can go wrong, any precautions to take, any shortcuts, any tips for civic such as where to pass through firewall? i would greatly appreciate any advice. thanx

can someone tell me how to get the speaker wire through the grommets in the front doorsof EK civic? Especially on the left hand side door there is a whole heap of plastic crap in the way of the grommet and seems impossible to get to? does anyone know how?
