    Braided Brake Line Problems!!

    Hey Guys,
Today i tried to fit my New HEL Braided Brake Lines to my ek, then i realised that the end of the braided brake line that connects to the car doesnt have a kinda coned shaped washer in it.Which didnt make a tight seal, is it meant to come with the kit cause i only got the braided lines and the bolts and washer that go to the caliper. So i was wondering anyone has every installed this kit before? Any help would be much appreciated

    they are flare joints
there are no washers, it's a dry fit

the only washers you should have are the ones for the banjo bolt that goes on to the caliper

oh in that case we might need some pics

from what i remember, the end of the brake line clips on to the mount points, and the flared bits are on the hard lines and they bolt up to the line and it should be a tight seal

though this is from experience from oem lines and goodridge ones so not 100% about the hel ones but i assume they'd be the same if the right kit was bought for the right car

    no worries
here's a question though, is there a part number you can find to match it up to find out whether the kit was made for your car or not?

what happens when you try to connect it up? does it just leak fluid?

that is deffinately not an EK brake line. ive got mine sitting here infront of me and it has the cone shaped piece inside the thread that mates with the flared hardline, and there is no flat edge on the side of the nut like on yours :S

    Its Says:
    Hel Performance Australia
    Honda Civic 1996/02
    2/Front 2/Rear
    CBK039

When i connect it up it leaks the the hard pipe can move freely so theres basically no seal whatsoever, I have already contacted the person i got them off.

Do you happen to have a part number Killa From Manilla?
