ended up settling for a gsi because its ten times cheaper.
When i just bought it, it was running cold because thermostat was failing open and not getting up to normal tempts. only got 450 outta tank.
Now i manage to get 540-600kms + on tank (some thrashing, normal driving, changing gears at 4k, Some trips full car)

Good service really works a charm!

best way is to fill up the tank full. drive 200km on the tank and fill up at the same petrol station. then observe how many litres went in. eg.. 20litres go in.. divide it by 2 and u would get 10litres per 100

i get around 320km out of my tank as the empty light comes on thats with a dead throttle position sensor(tps) and couple vtec hits a day to lol.
im sure i can manage better if i fix the tps and get time to put a thermostat in.
