    Idle issue

Hey guys just letting you know that i've read the threads already.
i own a dc2 and its having idling issues (high rev, back to low etc). Ive cleaned my throttle body and that didnt help, also cleaned up the iacv following this guide http://www.team-integra.net/sections...ArticleID=1174 and its still being a tard .. Any ideas what else it could be? My mechanic quoted me $200 for some part im not even sure of but seeing as he is a friend of the family, yeah. Any ideas what the problem may be?
    Thanks, jason
[note my mechanic does not specialise in honda]

need more description on the idling. Happen all the time?. When cold? any different with clutch engaged/disengaged. But if you have already cleaned out those two then, try looking for a vaccum leak any were, maybe look for some holes in the intake mani that are exposed. Or Check the Throttle body and see if the flap is closing properly when closed.

    sorry for the brief description.
    -It happens all the time
-From cold start my rpm almost hits 3.5k and keeps revving from 1.5-3k but when it warms up it 1.2-2.5k
-Clutch engage would that be foot on or off the pedal? (foot on the pedal it idles like this)
-I've taken my intake hose off and have checked the butterfly valve whilst pushing on the gas and there doesnt seem to be anything blocking or preventing them to open/close properly.
Another thing i've noticed since this has happened is that the exhaust smells, not exhaust smell.

you might have a vaccuum leak around the TB area.

I had the same problem with my DA. Turned out to be a broken hose from the back of the TB.
The Mechanic found it by mistake it had a little whole. so fitted a new hose and it was fine.
    check for any leaks.

mine does the same thing every morning ever since I got it. since mine doesn't have a tachometer (Breeze) I can't tell how many RPM it is doing but I can tell from the sound, after 1-1.5min it'll go down halfway then go down to the usual rev. but the idling is smooth not hunting or fluctuating.
