anyone know if castrol edge 5w 30 is better than shell ultra 5w 40?
shell ones are more dearer, so does this mean its better quality?

Just bought another bottle, and checked my oil. Still very close to 2nd hole(full) after 5,000 KMs.

switched to edge after using honda oils at 50k.
    very noticeable difference for me.
alot more free revving and my fuel consumption has gone down a considerable amount.

Were you looking at the 0w-40? The 5w-30 is $35 during supercheapauto sales and about $45 during 20% off sales. Normal price should be about $55-60

I am running my FD1 on Valvoline 5W-40 with 10$ Cashback. According to oilbible website, most of guys there recommend to use 5W-40 or 5W-30. Surely, will give Castro a try next oil change

Someone from Hannys told me Honda FEO is semi synthetic.
    Since when?

    FEO is mineral based.

I'm pretty sure Catrol Edge 5-30 is hydro cracked to synthetic properties ( don't quote me on that lol )

Hannys is a Honda specialist. Why would they tell me Honda oil is semi syn?
