Is the motor b18c type r or non type r.

From the picture above, no 1 can tell you what ecu it is. On the side of the ecu will have a code on it lyk p72,p28,p06,p08

they arent meant to be plugged in. you have B18CR ecu. Have you got a check engine light ? (CEL)
use a pin and stick either end inside one of the blue plugs and put ur your to prime and give us the check engine light code. to determine this you must use the CEL Code guide which is in a diy in the forum.

No he doesnt have a B18CR ecu, type r ecu are p73

P72 is b18c2 motor, thats the right ecu for your car since you have a b18c1(usdm)=b18c2(audm).
It is common that you cant hear the crossover in these motors, you would need aftermarket parts lyk intake\exuast to hear the crossover.

Those 2 plug don't connect to anything

those 2 plugs are service port to check CEL (check engine light)
    so dont worry about it
usually if Vtec doesnt cross over it should give you a yellow orange amber engine light
    is that coming up?
