We already pay a stamp duty for selling it though. 4% in vic. Well the buyer pays the stamp duty.

Buyer only pays the stamp duty if the car is registered by the new owner in the same state. If you buy a car in Victoria and bring it to NSW you don't pay the fees but you do have to get a Blue Slip to record change of details.

We pay a transfer fee based on the selling price.
