    Buyer only pays the stamp duty if the car is registered by the new owner in the same state. If you buy a car in Victoria and bring it to NSW you don't pay the fees but you do have to get a Blue Slip to record change of details.

    Yeh, do you guys in nsw pay a stamp duty when u sell within the state?
