you can turbo the D16Y4, however you will have to do a bit of wiring as you wont be able to use the original ECU or plug in an OBDI ECU, you will want to conver the batch firing injectors to sequencial

yes stock internals can hold 120kw which is nice zippy little car.. upgrade injectios, fuel pump, wiring and decent ecu and your fine.

That really depends on a number of variables. Quality of parts used, how you drive the thing and how good its tuned.

Keeping the boost low it will last close to 2-3years.

    Define 'low boost'?

Like 10 PSI or below? I've heard 10 is generally the limit for stock internals, though some people play it safe and go with 8 if they don't know how healthy their engine is.

Anyway, 10 PSI would surely see you make around 100-110kw ATW with the right exhaust etc, right?

12 for how long? I thought that'd be a bit tough on the stock internals?

And Fo55il what engine you running/how much power are you making? Car? Other mods?

personally I wouldn't go above 6 psi on a D, but people here seam to push more. 6-8 with a good set-up should yield 120is atwkw, and as said with regular maintenance and a sensible driver (remember the biggest boost controller is your right foot) it'll keep going for years.
