How about something like Hertz HSK165, Vibe SA60, Morel Pulse 6 or Boston FS-60's?

Any of them would make a fantastic replacement to the front splits you have and are all efficient enough to run from a head unit.

your budget is small if your chassing good sound quality,
dont waste your money on cheap speakers, save up and purchase a decent 2 chanel amp and a some entry class speakers,
I am running Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 splits and it is about the 4th set of splits i have had, They are awesome and i would never turn back.
Learn from this and do it right the first time. Save up the pennies and do it properly,
    Peter

As previously stated buy decent gear in order to save money later on. On your current budget a decent set of splits for up front could be had, and you could add an amplifier etc later on as you get more $$. Boston FS60 come to mind, HSK's, maybe some pheonix gold's? Marty will probably know as to whether tantrums can be had for that budget, maybe might have to stick to Octane R's?

Ok as i'm on a tight budget i'm only looking for a very cheap decent amp and have had 3 offers....I know they're probably crap but could someone pick one of this bunch to power a 600w Clarion Power Series 12" sub

    1. Avant Garde Competition Series amp, 400watt, Bridgable, Polised stainless steel finish with gold plaque

    2) PARAGON 600W AMPLIFIER:
    4 x 150W amplifier (@ 4OHM stable, can support 2OHM stable), 2x 300W or 1x 600W. Includes SubWoofer boost and Gain settings.

    2.AudioLine 2x300 watt amp

If you want serious bass at the front then start focusing on the environment rather than the speakers themselves. You need plenty of sound deadening and lots of power for strong bass.
