    Dc2r or EG b18cr? Opinions?

I was thinking of selling my stock eg just ext mods and getting a loan for a dc2r
my original plan with the eg was to drop a b18cr or c7 into it, just wondering what people think?

    DC2R will hold its value.

just depends what you want. eg b18r is lighter, dc2r itself is nicer to drive

lol this is a no brainer. I was once in the market for an eg with b series engine. was going to buy the eg stock standard and have everything done. after i priced it up i found a dc2r for the same money and they come with everything standard. OEM fitted is always better than modified. it already has the rigid chassis, tuned susspension, high ratio box, seem welded etc etc..

you can mod your civic as much as you want, but at the end of the day, its no type r..

I'd keep the hatch. It should be heaps cheaper in the long run.
    I'd do a b20r too

    im with Type R Positive.
b20 vtec the civic and you will be laughing at dc2r's.
a few of my mates that have got a b18c7 have upgraded to a b20 for more torque.

dont put your headache around repayments of a dc2r.

these days engine swapped civics are more common than type r's. Whats your budget and how much you think your eg is worth? If you had enough to purchase and afford running costs, id just buy the itr. its newer than the eg, pretty much has all the mods you'd do to the eg to get it up to spec, and its getting more affordable these days. But for me i wouldnt take out a loan just for a car, how are you goner afford running costs, insurance etc.
