    Are they illegal?
    Whats the deal?

I want to put some on my 94 CD5 but mates are telling me they are illegal.
I've searched around and found no dead straight answer.

I mean people say they are, but I see so many on the roads.

Illegal, unless it has come with the car from factory meaning they are ADR approved, which also means been in a 'projector' lens type headlight, as it controls the beam alot better and disperses the light evenly, keeping opposing traffic commuters happy.

    this.

and it all must come OEM too, and the colour temp can only be up to something like 5350K i think... Anything above is too bluish, and provides excess glare - it's not fun to drive behind someone with them isn't it..

Audi's and BMW's look bluish because their projectors split the light at the cutoff, like this

oh if ur hardcore... like USDM hardcore, you can buy projector headlights from a wrecker and try and bolt them to the inside of your headlights...

Try here for some reading.. lol http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-i...rojectors.html

No, they are illegal unless fitted from the factory (meaning they were designed that way in the first place).
